Why VOIP is for you?

Why Voip is for you

The internet is definitely changing the way we communicate with each other. We can reach anyone else in the world, providing that person also has access to the internet.   We can send and receive emails, chat, and talk. We can get engaged in video conferences, and what not.

It is not always the newest technology what counts, though. Nowadays, when we want to communicate with someone else, we can still use the plain old telephone system. As a matter of fact, we can reach more people in the world using a simple telephone than through the internet!

Now, what if we could have the best of both worlds?

What if we could call those ones who have access to the internet to their own computers, while being able to call and those ones who only have a telephone number, all from the same computer?

What if we could save on long distance calls, to the extent of being able to make certain overseas calls that would otherwise be unaffordable?

What if we could be reached on our local telephone number or computer from overseas at a low cost so that if we have friends or relatives abroad or far away we can provide them of a means of reaching us at a low cost?

What if we could enjoy the benefits of a better service than a telephone line, at a lower cost, with or without having to use a computer ourselves?

Well, that is what VOIP can mean to you! All you need is a computer with speakers and microphone (or a proper headset) or the VOIP equipment (usually supplied by the VOIP provider), and a connection to the internet.

With VOIP, you can:

  • Make phone calls from your computer to other computers or telephone numbers anywhere in the world.
  • Use it as a normal telephone if you prefer not to use a computer (you will still need a connection to the internet)
  • Save big on long distance calls.
  • Move your current telephone number to VOIP so as to get a better service at a lower cost.
  • Have a virtual number overseas so that you can be called at the cost of a local call. For example: you are studying in the USA and your mother lives in Tokyo. You get a local telephone number in Tokyo and your mother can call you (at the cost of a local call for her) to anywhere you are in the USA (or, in the world, for that matter)
  • Get an overseas low cost toll-free number for your business.
  • Make long distance calls from your mobile phone at a surprisingly low cost, or get a second line for your mobile phone.
